How to get rid of stretch marks…..

No one wants to talk about them.

Or admit they have them.

We hope that a tan will do the trick.

Nevermind, I’ll stick with a tankini!

There must be another way…..

Are you one of the many that’s tried everything? There isn’t much we can do to prevent or reverse nature, and sadly stretch marks are inevitable. The things we can’t prevent can be improved…that’s the good news!

I’ve never been really worried about my stretch marks. That’s probably because I started noticing them in middle or high school on my thighs. They were barely visible and they resulted from a growth spurt, so I paid little attention to them.

Over the years I’ve probably been blessed with a few extra stretch marks, but I’m still not worried about getting rid of them yet. I haven’t had a child yet, so for those of you that have I’m sure that your feelings are a little different. Either way, it’s better to treat these things before you feel that you have to….just like wrinkles.

There is one method that I tried for a VERY short time…

Hemorrhoid cream! Crazy, I know! A nurse told me that applying hemorrhoid cream to problem areas while losing weight will help the skin to stay tighter…reducing the chances of stretch marks.  It sounded weird and cheap, so in my book that’s brilliant and it’s worth a shot!

Buying the hemorrhoid cream was a little awkward even though I needed it for a completely different reason. I couldn’t wait to get home and try it! I’d never used hemorrhoid cream, so I didn’t know what the texture or smell would be like. I decided to wait until morning to use it…I’m a fresh start/new day kind of person…so it made sense.

What I didn’t think about was the possibility that this remedy may not be friendly for all times of day or situations. My thighs and sides felt sticky and I smelled like a freshly treated baby rash…or worse. It can’t get worse, right? It did…with a full day at the salon (which gets hot) and lots of close human contact…I couldn’t wait to take a shower!

I’ll leave the rest to your imagination! My point is that I no longer try crazy remedies for certain things. I now use a stretch mark cream, and it works great for the scar on my knee. It may cost a little more, but don’t be silly and suffer to save a little money!

I’ve tried a few different products to include TriLASTIN, but I recently switched to this organic cream from Body Merry.

It works for all types of stretch marks and minimizes the appearance of scars(look for my personal before & after photos-coming soon!).

Here are a few highlights about this stretch mark cream:

  • Made with Vitamins and Pure Plant Oils

Dermelastic serum really does help with stretch marks and scars. I have a large scar that is beginning to lighten due to using this serum. I also have some areas with stretch marks that are fading. I would recommend this serum to any one.
