I have used Tea Tree oil to freshen the house. Peppermint oil for healthy gums.
For home scents these oils go a long way! Mine was still in the box and I could smell it in most of the living room!
I love most essential oils for mosquito bites, it really stops the itch. I have not tried peppermint yet.
I have a recipe for mosquito bites….I will post it later today 🙂
DIY Insect Bite Treatment
Ive used Peppermint oil for brushing teeth..for cleaning and aromatherapy ..and for baking 🙂 Thanks !
Are you familiar with the Thieves cleaning product? It’s sold by one of those essential oil companies. It’s all natural, but kind of defeats the purpose of making your own cleaners!
I have never tried essential oils but I would love to. I have heard so many good things about essential oils.
Have you heard of the HUGE book of medical uses for essential oils? It’s like a medical reference guide and gives all kinds of great concoctions. I have seen someone remove a mole over a few months time with oregano oil….lots of possibilities!
I have tried peppermint essential oil in a blend for brushing my teeth and it is awesome, took a little while to get used to how strong it is!
Do you mix it with anything? Like baking soda?
Another thought….my cousin is a dental hygienist and he told me that the actual toothpaste is not necessary for oral health. It is just something we are used it and we like it because it makes our mouth taste and feel fresh.
Some people don’t even use mouth wash to rinse….they use water after brushing because there is already fluoride in water! Hopefully, those people use toothpaste :).
I have used it for digestive issues, and it has helped. I rub it on my stomach when I have any issues and it calms my stomach.
I use lavender oil on my feet when I’m feeling anxious or have trouble sleeping. I’d love to try peppermint oil since I’ve heard it helps with headaches. Thanks for offering the giveaway!
I keep a small jar by my bedside with cotton balls with a few drops of peppermint oil on them. If I feel nauseous I inhale the peppermint fragrance and it helps settle my stomach.
Thanks for your comment! That’s a very interesting tip! Hopefully, I won’t need it anytime soon, but when I do I’ll let you know how it goes 🙂 lol
I haven’t tried essential oils, I’ve read a lot about them & would love to try them! I take vitamins to try and stay healthy but I’d like to try the oils too.
I will find the link where I initially read about them and post it here! There is an entire “medical” book with remedies using essential oils.
My personal favorite was when a former co-worker of mine removed a mole over time with oregano oil! I’m serious!!! It just gradually flaked off over time and was gone! No invasive procedures!
Also…lemon oil is great for dropping in your water every day because it has anti-fungal properties (don’t quote me) and does great things inside your body.
