It’s no secret that the first step to achieving the perfect tan is exfoliation.

Other important factors that improve your tan are moisturizing the skin before and after you’re in the sun, wearing sunscreen, etc. I also like to use a lotion that adds a gradual tint to my skin. Even if you’re already tan it will improve your glow and improve the consistency of your tan.

Exfoliating is important for all types of tanning. Whether you are tanning at the beach, in a booth, or with sunless tanning products….exfoliating should be the first and most important step! You need to get rid of those dead skin cells before tanning to prevent an uneven look and ensure the best color.

I generally use a loofah to exfoliate my skin, but I just tried something new that is supposed to improve your tan. It’s called Exfolimate and it definitely works with sunless tanning products! I haven’t been to the beach or tanning salon yet, but it will probably help with those types of tanning just the same!

*If you get spray tans and hate how it looks as it’s fading away….then you definitely need to check this out!

Here’s a little info about Exfolimate:

Exfolimate helps clear the pores and smooth the skin’s surface for a more consistent, even sunless tanning application. You should thoroughly moisten the skin in the shower or bath and simply use it to help remove sunless tanning products or prepare for more consistent applications.

The application of sunless tans can block the pores, and new applications cannot be made until those blockages are cleared. Exfolimate achieves this without harsh treatments.

One of the greatest problems in the tanning industry is removing a sunless tan as it fades.

Now it can be removed quickly and easily in the shower or bath!

First,  soak the skin well so that no areas are dry.

Then, use Exfolimate to remove the tanning products on the skin’s surface.

For stubborn tans use your favorite cleanser or baby oil before you exfoliate.
