   I like my white silver natural hair. What do others use when not using the blue or purple shampoos that say can only be used 1 x week etc?

     I think you would like Shampoo Three by Paul Mitchell. They are very careful about ingredients, and environmentally friendly. Shampoo Three is a mild clarifying shampoo, so it will cleanse the scalp and hair effectively for someone who washes once per week.

     It’s not purple, but it will help with the residues that cause yellowing in gray and white hair. You’ll want to use a good conditioner with this shampoo(if your hair isn’t too thin or fine…some people do not like to use conditioner for that reason).

   I have white/silver hair that is wavy, dry and frizzy. What white, creamy moisturizing shampoos and conditioners are there, that don’t have color depositing oils, like olive (yellow) and argan (pink) or extracts (drying) in them that will discolor and stain my hair? I have given up hope of finding something. Coconut could be good, but it seems to always have ingredients added that I want to avoid.The Living Proof was terrible for my hair cuticles, that then became extremely lifted. I don’t want to use the blue or purple shampoos that are too harsh and drying. Hope you can help!

     Just needed to add that I air dry my hair and the Miracle 10 products made my hair frizzy.

       What type of hair style do you have? If you air dry your hair, then it depends on your style and hair texture as to how good it will look without doing any styling. What length is your hair? Do you have layers? Is it thick or thin?

       I doubt that the It’s a 10 Miracle products are causing your frizzy hair. Most of their products are mild, and are not meant to eliminate frizz on their own. It’s a 10 does have some smoothing products, but depending on your hair texture…blow drying with the proper brush might be necessary to eliminate frizz.

     Are you open to using a “purple” shampoo that is mild? Without it….your hair could yellow over time. Brightening shampoos are imperative for maintaining beautiful gray hair.

     You could use that once per month, and use a basic shampoo for the other washes. What kind of ingredients are you hoping to avoid?
