Beauty Tip #32:

Brush Your Skin

It’s very important to exfoliate and moisturize your skin regularly!

This is one of the most common tips that you’ll hear celebrities talk about when asked what their “secret” is. I know what you’re thinking….the secret is plastic surgery. That’s not always the case, and you can usually tell who looks great for their age because they’ve taken care of themselves from who looks “too good” for their age due to surgery.

There are many reasons why you have to start brushing your body, not only for a better skin but also for a better health.

Skin brushing is effective by improving the flow of lymph fluid and eliminating the dead cells in the skin. As a result, it will help blood flow and eliminate toxins, waste, and unwanted materials.

Benefits of Skin Brushing:

  • Increases circulation to your skin.
  • Eliminates dead cell layers and stimulates cell renewal.
  • Tightens and firms your skin.
  • Lessens muscle tension, relieves stress, and calms your mind.
  • Stimulates the lymphatic system.
  • Provides stress relief.

How should you brush your body?

  • First, start brushing your feet and work your way up to your legs. Then, brush your arms, chest, back, and stomach. Also brush across the top of the shoulders and upper back.
  • Use a circular motion.
  • When brushing the breasts, do it very gently and avoid the nipples (obviously).

Tips:

  • After brushing, your skin should not be red. If it turns red, it means the pressure you are using is too heavy.
  • After shower, apply your favorite cream, moisturizer, or skin products for a flawless and healthy skin. My favorite is Bare Body Milk by Julep!
  • Grip it harder as it is a bit slippery with soap on your hand.
