My Keto Journey – Week 3
If you’ve been following my keto journey you know that I’ve started getting creative with meals and keto recipes, but I still have a ways to go. This week I’ll attempt cloud bread for the second time(the first attempt didn’t turn out great), try making keto cheesecake, and hopefully add a new lunch/dinner dish to the mix!
Last week was great as far as meals, upping my exercise, and how I felt. I stayed optimistic even though I wasn’t losing weight like I did the first week. So, for week 3, I’m cutting back on my portions and trying to exercise more! I’m still not completely sure how ketosis works because it’s not as simple as it seems. Cutting carbs and sugar isn’t enough! That’s why I’m paying more attention to my protein to fat ratios every day, and I just ordered some keto testing strips(only $2.97 on Amazon with their clickable coupon and free shipping) so I can get more serious about my keto journey.
If you need a little more motivation to get out there and exercise more, try out the Sweat Coin app! I downloaded it in week 2 and already earned a $10 credit towards my next energy bill! There are lots of other products, apps, and perks you can cash your sweatcoins in for too! Read more about it in my week 2 post!
TIP: Without fruit…you’re going to need some added fiber in your diet. I hadn’t read about this anywhere, but by week 2 I definitely noticed that I wasn’t as “regular” as usual. It was hard to find a good fiber supplement that’s carbohydrate and sugar free. I got Benefiber and I put a small spoonful in my morning and evening cup of tea(I definitely recommend doing this because you’re going to be eating a lot of cheese)!
To see what I’ve been eating and how thing went from the start, check out My Keto Journey Week 1 and Week 2!

I lost 30 pounds on a keto diet and I also lost tons of My hair which fell out. Even the new growth falls out. It’s been slowly growing back in but I’m concerned Aveda hair color is now too harsh on my new growth. I am unable to find a stylist willing to put a Vegan chemical free home kit on my hair. Any suggestions as to how to find a hair colorist that I am willing to pay for her time if she /he can apply a vegan hair color (green hare mud brand). I’m not in Georgia so not local to their shop.
Whats the reason for using the home kit? I suggest going to a salon that carries a brand for your needs. Swarzkopf has a great non-toxic color line…it’s worth a try!
