I use One n only argan oil hair color from sally’s in Dark Red Violet Brown with level 20 developer. The formula is low ammonia and I use a professional bowl and tinting brush in a very well lit bathroom with a super huge mirror. I am very dilligent to get each bit all around and use the right amount for my hair. I know you are insisting on a salon, but that is way out of my budget. Besides, this is the best color I have used. Gorgeous results. No fried hair, No split ends. It feels so soft and silky after each color. Argan oil is reallly great stuff. Best of all, my scalp no longer itches! So, is this okay since it is the best that I can affortd and the color is my favorite! I look like a fairy vampiress! I love it! So, is it cool?

      Christy,

Thanks for your comment! Yes, it’s okay as long as it is being applied properly, formulated correctly for your hair, etc. If you like the color and your hair isn’t damaged, then there are just a few other things you can improve(if you haven’t already) to ensure those great results.

      1. Apply color only to the demarcation line(where line from last color application is, and feather it through slightly.
      2. IF the ends need to be refreshed….DO NOT USE permanent color….formulate to match with a demi.
